For those who want to be more than a bystander and have a desire to do something when no one else is capable ,willing, or help is minutes away. We have seen countless times where trained individuals have stepped in and saved lives from training they received, including some of our own students.
TACMED principles and application course for Care Under Fire, Tactical Field Care, and Emergency Evacuation according to the principles of the S-MARCH algorithm in accordance with current guidelines of the Committee on Tactical Combat Casualty Care. This curriculum will be pared down to a one-day course so that students of varied backgrounds can apply lifesaving interventions under stress. The principles, though generalized to work under all circumstances, will be focused on active threats, such as home invasions, school shooters, or other domestic threats. There are no prerequisites to coming to the course. Equipment needed will be a COTCCC approved IFAK and 30 feet of 1” tubular nylon. If you do not currently have an IFAK, they can be purchased through Freedom Defense Training at the course(please let us know ). By end of course you will understand what appropriate equipment belongs in an IFAK and how to use its contents along with improvised adjuncts.
*Tac Med Day 2-Those that have completed TacMed 1 and one of our shoot/move/comms or CQB course are approved to take the second day
