SURVIVAL MEDICINE – TYLER

February 17 @ 8:30 am - 5:30 pm

$125.00

Treating injuries from inclement weather events, active killer situations, fire, auto/boat/train/aircraft accidents, wilderness/hunting accidents, etc..

Combat medicine skills used and taught by special forces medics. As some of the most elite medics in the world and a true understanding of the CUF (care under fire) mindset to treat life threatening injuries under extreme conditions, utilizing modern and improvised techniques performed in austere environments.
Our goal is to provide a stepped training program integrating medicine and continue to build skills in a variety of medical courses: crawl, walk, run methodology. Course will be taught by FDT staff with over 40 years combined wilderness and special forces medicine experience.

Cost -$125.00
$225 couples
$100 repeat student of this course, Active Military/First Responders

Course Details:
The course will cover the basics of combat related self aid and buddy care. The principles of this course are based on the military and special forces medicine in uncontrolled and austere environments. The number one treatable injury of combat deaths is exsanguination (bleeding to death). This course will be held while maintaining principles of proper protection for you and your loved ones as well as bystanders while providing life saving tactics to yourself or those in need.
The thought that a medic or other first responder will be there immediately to treat your wounds is not realistic and continues to be proven with the tragedies of active killers, train and plane wrecks, natural disasters, car wrecks and wilderness trips.

Prerequisites:
Willingness to expand your skillset in a uncomfortable training and the ability of aiding your own family, friends or others with extreme injuries. Ability to work and learn while being under duress and stress.

Required Equipment:
Old clothes you don’t mind getting cut on or dirty, bring over shirt, Current IFAK (individual first aid kit) if you have it or training equipment can be provided. Lunch and Water.

NO LIVE FIREARMS ALLOWED, FDT gear will be utilized.
