Join our team April 27th-30th for a 4 day backcountry trip Into the high desert canyon country of Northwest Texas in Caprock Canyon Wilderness. We will focus on backcountry skills and land navigation crucial for anyone that wants to venture out on their own in the wilderness or backcountry setting as a hiker , hunter, backpacker, off grid fisherman and more. This a perfect trip for those who are just getting started , experienced packers that want to up their skillset vs being gear dependent, looking to lead groups in the future or may be well versed in woodland environments but new to the desert terrain.

We will caravan together early AM Thursday the 27th and return the evening of the 30th unless one wants to drive their own way. The drive to the trail averages 5 to 6 hrs and we can coordinate the logistics with the group as we get close.

Gear list – backpack suitable for 3 days, sleeping bag , tent /tarp or shelter of choice(trees are rare to hang support from) Your own food ,water and basic necessities for backcountry work. A more detailed list will be given to those who register and a small training session will be given prior to the departure to help prepare and pack.
