WILDERNESS BACKPACKING TRAINING – ARKANSAS

November 5, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - November 8, 2020 @ 4:00 pm

Join our team on a 3.5 day wilderness backpacking excursion into the Quachita Mountains (about a 3.5 hour drive from Lindale) on the famous Eagle Rock Loop. Learn  from instructors with 1000s of miles and over 60 years experience  between them in wilderness areas from all over the country and abroad in all enviroments. Both experienced with leading groups into the wild successfully with SERE and wilderness survival training and real world experience behind them. We did add a extra day this year to be able to slow down a bit and focus on some skill sets.

Backpacking is one of the most satisfying ways to get into seclusion and away from the craziness of life. But too many times people go about it wrong from purchasing their first gear to the locations they choose and it can turn dangerous and deadly very fast.

We will be focusing on the priorities of survival while moving over extended rugged terrain. Training on skillsets that will work in any remote and wild environment you find yourself in.

This course will have challenges for seasoned hikers and prepare new hikers for the trails and eventually  going out on their own or leading their family on wilderness excursions.

Minimal gear will be required to join uus and if needed rental gear can be provided.

The training subject matter is as follows but not limited to:
